There are countless creatures in the world so unrefined and unintelligent that it urges my anger in the search to wipe them all and make this my world a better place. From orcs to some giantkin, goblins and all goblinkin. They are despicable creatures who make their homes upon sacred lore “di mondi arcani” that I desperately try to find, learn and preserve. Dwarves, for all their genius in enchanting the stone around them, are quite the annoying creatures as well, coveting precious minerals and hording them; precious resources for powerful magics and the discovery of new lore. They are loud, smelly, reckless, impulsive, hating a species that is almost as bright as them.
And then… I fell in love with one…
I Valthrun One-Eye… It should pain me to write this, wizard that I am, but I find that it doesn’t – something that needs careful studying. Her recklessness fuels my own. Her stubbornness often stretches my face in something that could be call a smile. You haven’t seen her unshaved features with impish characteristics that draw my mortal self into tempting thoughts… Blast her! She interrupts my casting!
Kristryd… Her name is like the grinding of stone upon stone, but as even the lowliest goblin knows, such thing can produce fire, and certainly that’s the case for the fool writing this.
Kristryd… Try is in her name. Stubborness becomes her, driving me mad. Making me want you.
Kristryd… I am burning, and you can’t see it!
Kristryd… Your smile is enchanting, evocating a magic in me that I didn’t even know existed.

Why in the Nine Hells do I feel this way with just the mere mention of your name? Has she marked me with her strange runic wizardry? Have I been branded to be hers? Damnable dwarf, driving me mad! To shut her up with a kiss. To taste her skin on my lips. To stare at her fiery eyes in endless study… There is beauty in her crass demeanor. There is beauty in her challenging words. There is beauty in everything she is…
And I don’t know how to feel about that…

Valthrun is Winterhaven's current wizard, and in his background, a part of Rond's old party that included Lord Paldraig himself (the charming rogue), El'nae (Rond's first wife and master druid), Kristryd (a dwarf rune-priestess) and Valthrun the Precient - now One-Eye - wizard and master of evocation and conjuration. They're quite the interesting party, so maybe later I could write some stories about them. Kristryd herself is 
's character actually, played during D&D. She's great, and perhaps one of the few characters that can counter the wizard's attitude while humbling him. A very different character from her Xull'rae and Aiyana, who are both great as well. Just goes to show the varied range of characters that she can handle

RACE: Human.
CLASS: Wizard (Master of Evocation and Conjuration).
NAME AND NICKNAMES: Valthrun of Erian. Valthrun “The Prescient” in the early days. Valthrun “One-Eye” after the Spellplague. “Val” to his friends.
PLACE OF ORIGIN: Luskan. Now resides in Winterhaven as its Archmage of sorts.
LANGUAGES: Common, Elven, Undercommon (some Drow), Primordial, Draconic, Abyssal, Goblin and Orcish, Dwarven, Netherese, Nerathi, Giant.
FAITH: Gond, though not in the fanatical sense. He makes a prayer to Avandra when going out for field work and has a fascination for the “Path of Light” of the far east.
